Why I'm Running

Comprehensive public education is a civil right. Every child deserves a pathway to success.

Why I’m Running

Over the past 17 years, and as a current parent and advocate in MCPS, I have seen missed opportunities to address the problems of our overcrowded, racially and economically segregated schools. I will bring current insights and creative solutions to tackle these persistent challenges. We can make smarter decisions and get better results. I believe that a great public education is a civil right. I will advocate to ensure that ALL of our students— gifted and talented, students of color, LGBTQ+ students, and those who live in poverty, have special needs, and more— receive an education that prepares them for life.
